Amalie has reduced herself to nothing rather quickly. After all, being offered a wooden knife of all things had felt like some sort of insult, one that she had vehemently rejected by turning the useless thing to nothing. After all, a wooden blade lost its edge near immediately, and Amalie made better use of the thing by channeling it for her powers, fixing a scraped knee into nothing more than a faded mark on her freckled leg.
Now, left without a weapon, or any sophisticated (or subtle) way of defending herself, Amalie is left anxious, on constant edge and ready to put her claws to someone’s face. Sick of feeling that way, she had slunk her way towards Archimedes, unwilling to crowd herself in Fibonacci, though it was more likely to be successful. The energy is unlike something she’s known before, and Amalie rapidly becomes more interested in observation than she is in scrounging for a weapon that will suit her needs.
So enraptured, that she only notices that she is not truly alone until the last moment. The startle is half dramatics, and half her attempt to feel a bit more grounded.
“These places have the heart of a haunting.” It’s no truth, but Amalie has always had a thing for energy. “Perhaps it’s the unknown. Either way, this is the fewest cobwebs I’ve seen in one of these for some time. If this is your’s, it looks like it’s doing well.”
Simple flattery, aiming to observe and learn, if anything.
lordspeaker replied to your post: “I cant be a twink and taller than a not twink,”
i fail to understand how purely semantic details might change the categorization so profoundly.
You Are A Twink
He lifts Aymeric up effortlessly, tossing him up in the air a few feet for good measure. He doesn’t seem winded at all by this, actually.
“Are you sure.”
lordspeaker replied to your post: fur boy?
if you aren’t kin of me you’re a furry. that’s that on that
“These furs aren’t part of my body, you fool.”

archimedes ward is home to several street musicians — those that use old heirloom instruments and those that turn everyday objects into mediums for song. there is one pair in particular that corvo visits most commonly on his wanderings of the ward; she has a warbling fiddle and he carries a lyre, and together they play songs that remind him of home. not dunwall, but karnaca.
the male musician puts his hat on the ground for collection of funds, and they begin to play in a public square. the lord protector finds a seat on a bench, and listens somewhat absentmindedly, fishing in his pocket for change.

fenris has come to the temporary culinary stalls set along the star trail in search of simpler pleasures. food from the free marches isn’t particularly memorable, and so the possibility of a stall from home doesn’t quite pique his interest. instead, he is on the hunt for any one carrying fruit among their offerings.
he thinks that it may be a bit indulgent of him, but he hasn’t had fresh fruit in a while. apples are his long-standing favorite.
attendees are sparse, so one individual stands out as familiar. it’s hazy, but the warrior recalls the old conflict, and the aid of an elvhen stranger.
❝ forgive me if i am wrong, ❞ he starts, ❝ but i believe we’ve met once before. it appears that whoever takes people from beyond is not finished with me yet. ❞

Orianna, in search of some calm among the more erratic festivities, has ventured into the Cotes Ward.
Drawn to the foot traffic around the lake, she spends her evening there. As the sun sets, she visits one of the candle-lighting ceremony’s officiators and purchases two candle rafts. It has been far and away since she’s lost anyone, but still thinks her well-wishes may do them some good.
The first one is for her father, who she hopes is doing well back home. The second one is addressed to Seven; she brings it to the water’s edge, complete with a lollipop to send along. Maybe she is a bit too sentimental over a friend from so long ago, but she does miss him.
She’s a bit early, so she decides to wait a bit longer for more people to show up. She doesn’t want to get ahead of herself.

again the city undergoes an upheaval, the disappearance of the monster in the eclipse giving way to warring kingdoms. soraka has little interest in the conflict or their borders, intent on helping those she can before the creature returns.
she hasn’t changed in appearance, but she’s seen others who have. the island’s inhabitants — regardless of affiliation — have become quite fantastical, many resembling what she has seen of ionia’s vastayan tribes.
chief among her worries is determining the well-being of her friends, though she knows they are more than capable of handling themselves. the knowledge alone would put her at ease, so she uses the remainder of her phone charge to filter through her contacts and make calls.
soraka dials aymeric first. after a moment of silence, she thinks perhaps his phone has already died, but then it starts ringing. the starchild perks up further when he answers.
❝ aymeric, hello! are you well? ❞ she pauses. ❝ this is... truly something, isn’t it? ❞
