Kinda perfect timing with this arc....
MY 10 FAVORITE MOMENTS IN LESSON 354:
Zura’s literally gut-wrenching, bowel-moving reaction to Elizabeth being a part of a race of aliens trying to take over the earth.
This always makes me smile and give a big gigantic amused eyeroll.
Another smile and eyeroll. Although, if they had produced a Lord Beida Funko Pop figure, I would’ve totally gotten it.
I cheered when this goofball and Mutsu showed up cuz that meant a 3/4 Joui reunion was imminent.
He looked so cool for just this one frame...before he was immediately thrown off and kicked in the face by that horsey.
At least Zura had the courtesy to look shocked and even covered his eyes, I was kinda proud of him for that...my feeling didn’t last long though.
Gintoki didn’t put up much of a fight at all.Â
Kagura joining them under there and her dirty quip is guffaw material.
These two goofballs (although I was thinking at the time, one of them would soon be a dead goofball since he was totally looking up the wrong tree).
Edoians turning into Elizabeths was as hilarious and horrifying as I would imagine it would be like.
SHIPS TALLY:
Zura x Elizabeth: exchanging sake cups is part of the Japanese marriage ceremony, I believe, so technically they have been married for a long time.Â
Sakamoto x Mutsu: they pretty much come as a package so I might as well count them any time they appear.Â
Gintoki x Fumiko: I think I could hear Sacchan’s screaming in jealousy somewhere.
Disclaimer: Gintama is not only about shipping. Gintama is hilarious, clever, exciting, poignant, heart-breaking, loving, brilliant, and just so freaking amazing.  It is only due to Sorachi-sama’s generosity that I can enjoy Gintama on yet another level, the shippy level, and I am forever grateful for that. GINTAMA IS LIFE AND LOVE.
