as stated before, Lord Acanthious is a warrior. he loves fighting, though he has a hard time finding someone who doesn't fall past a few minutes. he believes in taking what he wants through sheer violence and raw will, and he detests the usage of trickery. he even goes as far as to not use the charm his wings grant him to prove this point.
Lord Acanthious has the Wings of Fortune. when a fairy is born with these wings, they will experience good fortune in its highest of highs and experience bad fortune in its lowest of lows (as long as they're out and therefore "switched on"). he personally believes that it would cheapen his victories if he were to depend on this charm, so he only ever unveils his wings when he absolutely no questions asked NEEDS TO fly. and that usually isn't the case thanks to his great skill using his spells which allow him to let more brambles sprout from the surface beneath his feet whenever he pleases and also warp any parts of his body that are also bramble.
