She was lost. And quite a bit too frightened to admit that, bloodstained hands rubbing absently at tired eyes. She wasn’t supposed to be out here. She was supposed to be behind closed doors, behind wards and sigils where it was safe. Except it wasn’t safe anywhere anymore, not really.
Her father was gone, John was who knows where, she’d TRIED to find them -- she was usually good at finding things, little or not she could read a MAP. Not so well tonight though. Everything had gone wrong tonight. She wasn’t even sure what had happened after she’d left the apartment to find her father. But she was in an alley now, and it was freezing and her hands were starting to ache.
There’d been an angel, she was sure about that, at least. Some kind of fight. Feathers and shadows, and things she never wanted to look directly at. But for all the light the angel had show UP with, he’d still left her in the dark once everything was said and done. Good. Great. Thanks for the help.Â
“Hello -- ?” It’s all she has, voice barely making it’s way out before she swallows it again. This was why she wasn’t supposed to go out on her own.
