It looks like people most commonly translate 매력 as "attractiveness", but I feel like in english, "attractive" is like a person. I would say it's like describing something with merit. Q. It may be an early question, but I wonder if there is a plan for a sequel or next work, not DLC. If there is, I would like to hear what kind of concept it is. Will it be a work that shares the same worldview as the concept of cruel fairy tales?
Choi Ji-won: It is something that is being reviewed. However, "Lies of P was dark fairy tale concept, so we'll do that for the next instalment", it isn't like that. Rather than developing the story according to the [aesthetic] concept, we think about the story first and then decide on the concept, so for now, I think it would be good to think of it as one of the factors we're considering.
This is really important. So they aren't necessarily going to stick with "Dark fairy tale/ belle époque" for the sake of it, and the sequel may be aesthetically very different. The commitment to the adaptation of the source material led to the game's dark fantasy/steampunk-ish setting, not the other way around. So it isn't like they will absolutely stick to a similar visual style for the sequel.
I know that, almost definitely, they will be basing it off the public domain book, and not the movie. but the production of the movie was very infamously a nightmare. And I think it's going to be very difficult to not acknowledge the movie at all.
