Sometimes I feel like people in the gachiakuta fandom fail to use media literacy. For example, It rubs me the wrong way when people diss or make fun of dear for still having his pacifier. So many people in the fandom make fun of the fact that as he gets older his teeth will become pacifier teeth. And yeah I am not gonna deny that dear will have difficulty with his teeth as he gets older. But it makes sense for why dear still has his pacifier. We gotta remember that dear grew up on the ground and as we know its filled with things the rich threw away so most of it is not in great condition let alone toys or necessities for kids or babies on the ground. So putting two and two together I could theorise that maybe deers pacifier was the only thing he had that was safe for him to use and something to sooth him. With everything we know about the ground there probably are not a lot of pacifiers in great condition for little ones. And even more evidence to his attachment to his pacifier this is literally this dears vital instrument! We have been given information time and time again by Kei Urana and by the show that people with vital instruments are very attached to their instrument and sometimes see it as a person or another extension of themselves. So yeah no doy deer is going to still have his pacifier and be attached to it.
