modular loop switcher prototypes

Montreal Assembly - Fewtility One
“4 port low noise active mixer that can be setup as either 3 in 1 out, 2 in 2 out, 1 in 3 out (buffered). the top channel channel is always an in, bottom always an out. middle two are configurable with a toggle switch. Each channel has its own gain control. Jacks are face mounted to save space, dc jack is on the top. Case is the '125B' size. mix several parallel effects together (split with y cables then blend back together), feedback looping (2 in 2 out could achieve this), splitting signal to low input impedance effects (like some fuzzes in parallel) etc. Runs on 9v dc. No battery space inside.“

Alex Bergsland - Looper to fit my needs
“There are five loops and two buffers and everything is true bypass. There is also a switch to choose from two inputs. ... Layout made by me, with ideas from tagboardeffects.blogspot.com.“

Rudley - the super dooper looper box
“switching scheme that uses Audio CODECs in a matrix switch. So, rather than just instantly switching the effects, they can be panned or faded in and out. I built a looper box that ... has selector rotary switches on it that allows you to set the order. The nice thing about this box is that is has no circuit boards and will still work without any 9Vdc power. The 9Vdc power is used to only light the LEDs. It works great and has true bypass. ... normally I would put the sequence of the rotary switches in 1-2-3-4-5-6. But if you want to swap the order of pedal 2 with pedal 5, then you put the order in 1-5-3-4-2-6. The only problem is that if you don't turn off the effects that you are swapping, they momentary short out giving you a weird effect. Maybe that's good.“

“Here is a mock-up of an effect switching design that I'm thinking about. The order of the effects chain is determined by the order in which the footswitches are selected. The displays show the connection order. Green is active and Red is bypassed. I came across a MT8808 device which has a matrix of 8 X 8 switches controlable by a MCU. I think this will do the job of connecting the effects in the desired order. Have any of you guys done anything similar so that I can get some tips?”
