Looksery, face recognition app, fuels Snapchat.
It’s been over a half a year since Snapchat introduced new ‘Lenses’ ’features such as puking rainbow. Everyone was so obsessed with it! You may have seen a lot of these on social media even though you have no Snapchat account. Literally these lenses fuel this ephemeral messaging app.
Snapchat didn’t developed any of these. Instead, they acquired ‘Looksery’, a start-up company founded in 2013. Just like ‘Face Swap Live’ that I posted previously, Looksery became successful because of the video feature. Other selfie improving apps only do photos but this one enables you to take a video through a special filter as well as a photo.

However, Looksery had hard time popularizing a video chat network so they decided to augment a smash-hit-app. It wound up Snapchat having lenses which offer us to have options for absurd selfie-taking. I found It’s extremely fun to use and to wait for another filter for tomorrow.
