Let’s face it, after rent, food and bills our wage doesn’t always stretch far enough, sometimes what we are left with we want to look professional on a budget.  It can be done!

Outlets/DFO’s etc – Every time I visit a outlet I was pick up some great work wear essentials and you can buy chain name brands at a fraction of the cost.

Second Hand Shops – the fun is always in the hunt, never know what you could find.

1.       A Black Jacket never goes out a style (look for a jacket that fits well and that it is tailored and quality material) you can buy one at any of the above stores listed and it will instantly add the professional edge and make a little black dress or top/skirt/pants look corporate.  (And you can win that age old battle of the office cold air conditioning).

2.       Accessories make the outfit, you can dress up the plainest shirt or dress and it will look different with the addition of scarf or jewellery.

3.       Shoes – a killer pair of shoes will finish your outfit.

4.       Mix and Match – play in your wardrobe and try things on and you can create different combinations that will work together.  Also look at your casual gear, some shirts worn on the weekend may look great when worn with a black jacket and skirt/pants etc.
