New band in Athens
I’m a beginner-intermediate guitarist in Athens, Greece, looking to start rehearsing with people, for the sake of playing music and not just practicing endlessly. Depending on our skill/communication level we can either arrange a practicing schedule or straight up write new material. I have very decent gear and setup and I’m able to record my music, if there’s need for it. Genre wise, I am very versatile. I take inspiration after lots of ‘60s/’70s rock bands, yet later metal bands and even more contemporary artists really get me going. Some bands I am very into include Black Sabbath, Blue Oyster Cult, Fleetwood Mac, Queens of the Stone Age, Kyuss, Graveyard, Blood Ceremony, Electric Wizard, Sleep, High on Fire, Mastodon, Yob, Neurosis, Baroness, Crowbar, Gojira, and many many more.
As of now, I don’t want to start something that’s supposed to be a metal act for example, most importantly I want to be part of something that’s memorable and can resonate with the people I will work with.
