I think the thing I like most about frenrey (or just Benrey and Gordon's dynamic in general) is that like, they're both an unfathomable, extra dimensional being from the others perspective. The case for benrey being that is pretty obvious since the story is told from Gordon's perspective, he's this chaotic being that constantly breaks the laws of (his) reality for shits and giggles, within the game world he may as well be some sort of eldritch god. And nobody sees that more so than Gordon, because he's so immersed in the world. but when you consider that Gordon is a human playing the game, he's quite literally on a different plane of existence than benrey. Benreys entire world is basically at Gordon's whims. Dr coomer pretty much implies that when Gordon isn't playing the game, that world and all the people in it cease to exist.
And like. I can't think of a single other pair of characters with a dynamic like that. Cosmic horror 4 cosmic horror but they both think the other is the only cosmic horror in the relationship. Idk I just think its neat
