I have pierced ears (I got them when I was a baby!) but I don't wear earrings often (really not anymore). Still I get scared that my piercing will close up/heal over so I pop in an earring for a day or two just to keep it open.
One of my cousins in Nigeria, last time I visited, gave me some magnetic earrings as a going away gift. I'd asked for a matching gold chain but he couldn't find one he liked so he got me earrings instead! I love them. But I lost one in the airport and didn't notice till I was on the plane... :( I am way too scared to wear the other out now.
I got tumblr specifically to interact with the khr community. Like I would write sad poetry and mope around because I couldn't reply or add on or reblog stuff (I also didn't have an AO3 account at that time).
