the first steep had a lovely roasted soybean aroma with a light floral aftertaste; second steep was already less aromatic, a bit sweeter and more anisic. third steep i reverted to actual grandpa style and pushed the heat up a little, but the aroma was mostly faded, just a gentle vegetal umami.

Also something something teacake slop. They were ' allied heirs ' and ' friends '

Today's tea is '24 Longjing. This one's filled with unami, surprisingly nutty with less grassy notes than you'd probably expect
