I like thistle a lot so I will talk to pretty anyone who likes thistle too
I think thistle is a minor because there is strong canon evidence to suggest it (earmuffs page basically confirms it in my opinion since she specifically chose thistle as the example for a child elf who is young enough to wear earmuffs without it being awkward) but when I first was introduced to him I genuinely thought he was my age like 18-21 sort of range. I only changed my mind after thinking about the earmuffs page for like 6 months (it took a while to click because at first I didn’t see why that would mean he is supposed to be a kid) . so like I get why you would think he is an adult
I also don’t get why aging a character up is bad. people say it is, but I don’t really get it because characters get aged up in epilogues and stuff all the time and they are made up so you can just imagine them an adult then they’re an adult. but I have heard that is problematic or something? idk. maybe I’m too autistic to understand that
also, his aging is just weird in general cuz like if he’s supposed to be under 80 (16) then that means in the flashbacks he should look /way/ younger like if he is still under 80 (16) when delgal is old enough to have a grandson then when Delgal was born thay would mean thistle would have to be very young like 20 years old (5) so he should look much younger but he seems to be roughly the same height and age as current thistle just with shorter hair but if he was a small child when he was brought to the kingdom as shown in the extra materials then that doesn’t make sense either because why would freinag wait like 40 years before having delgal? then he’d be like 60 when delgal was born which doesn’t make any sense either…
alas. even excellent worldbuilder and character creator ryoko kui has inconsistencies. that comforts me as a writer because like yeah… even she makes mistakes but it doesn’t matter much because the story is still amazing even with tiny errors like that
