There were times in a mother's life when she had to weigh what her children wanted against what they needed. Both of her sons could have difficulty discerning betwixt the two, but a mother -- a mother knew. So when she heard that Loki wanted no one inside his hospital room for the time being, she knew that was a request she simply couldn't honor. "I'm sorry to disturb you," she whispered, stepping past the curtain. The lights were low, it was difficult to see him, but she could feel the chill in the air from here. "But I'm afraid I'm terribly selfish as a mother. I needed to see that you were all right." She drew closer, came to the end of the bed. "Will you let me see you, skatten min?"
