Chapter Summary: (3,147 words) Elysia finally asks to touch Mei's horns, and Mei allows it. Both of them get more than what they perhaps initially bargained for.

The request, so brazenly directly, takes Mei a moment to fully process.

She’s grown so used to Elysia’s flirting and forwardness that she had thought herself immune to being surprised anymore by the simulation of the original Flame-Chaser. Flirting is expected, even as she’s come to approach Elysia for help; what catches her unsuspecting is the shockingly straightforward inquiry.

Elysia smiles up at her from where she sits on the couch, waiting with that patient, watchful way of hers, even as her eyes promise nothing but the fun kind of trouble.

“My…horns,” Mei repeats that much, and the words feel almost foreign on her lips. “You want to touch them. Why?”
