"You don't feel that way now?" Ham asked raising a brow. He had been stating the obvious to the other man in order to prompt him to continue. It's not like he hadn't wondered what the world looked like outside of the domes, the city that they had all lived in, for their entire lives, but it was uncommon to hear such things spoken out loud, especially from a fellow Sandman. "Where would you go?"
Most people who lived in the domes were raised to believe that the world outside was toxic, uninhabitable by human beings, and that they would probably all die the moment that they stepped foot outside. It's not like everyone lived uncomfortably here, but Ham did think that 30 was an awfully young age to die. In fact his own time would be up soon enough.
