Just some words
Hi guys,
I decided to write some entries in german. I really like writing in this blog but I think it would be even more fun to write in german. I always have the feeling that I can’t really express what I want to. And in addition there are some people reading this Blog who don’t know speaking english. So maybe I will change from time to time. :)
Also liebe Leute, hier mein erster richtiger Eintrag auf Deutsch. Gestern habe ich mir Pizza gekauft, weil ich gesehen habe, dass dieses Hostel eine Küche hat. Als ich mit der Pizza herkam, hab ich festgestellt, dass es zwar ne Küche, einen Kühlschrank, einen Herd und eine Mikrowelle, aber keinen Ofen gibt!? Hä?? Ich also schon halb verzweifelt. Ich hab ne Pizza und kann sie mir nicht machen. 😥 Was mach ich denn jetzt? Was tut man, wenn man verzweifelt? Klar. Man schickt einen Snap an seinen Freund mit einem traurigen Smiley (😭) und hofft auf Mitleid und dass er einem dann sagt, wie man seinen Tag wieder lebenswert machen kann (und wie soll er das schon sein. Mit einer Pizza und ohne Ofen). Naja, zum Glück hab ich einen sehr schlauen Freund. (♥️) Ich soll meine Pizza in einer Pfanne mit Öl anbraten sodass der Boden kross wird und sie dann in die Mikrowelle tun. Klingt mega bescheurt. Ich weiß. Aber ich hab ne Pizza und keinen Ofen. Demnach: Das Experiment wird morgen gestartet. Wahrscheinlich. Vielleicht nehme ich sie auch mit zu nem Kumpel von nem Kumpel und mache sie dann da, auf dass alle die zum Vorglühen da sind sich ebenfalls daran erfreuen :D Gut, dass ich auf Deutsch schreibe. Diese packende Geschichte, hätte ich sonst bestimmt nicht authentisch wiedergeben können. 😅 Ich habe mir jetzt vorgenommen alleine Polnisch zu lernen bis mein Polnischkurs beginnt. Ich schreibe mir also jeden Tag die Wochentage auf die Hand. Sieht total bekloppt aus, hilft aber! (Poniedziałek, wtorek, środa, czwartek, piątek, sobota, niedziela - alles auswendig 🎉) Außerdem mache ich in der Schule die gleichen Übungen wie die Schüler, die Deutsch lernen, nur andersherum. Zahlen zum Beispiel. Ich kann die Zahlen bis 20 jetzt schon perfekt! Deshalb kann ich jetzt auch schon sagen: Mam dwadzieścia lata. Oder doch lat? Naja auf jeden Fall soll es “Ich bin 20 Jahre alt.” heißen. Im Polnischen kann man so viel weglassen. Wörtlich übersetzt heißt der Satz “Habe zwanzig Jahre”. Dafür haben die hier 7 oder 8 Fälle. Das wird bestimmt irrsinnig spaßig. Glücklicherweise liebe ich es Sprachen zu lernen. Es ist mir unglaublich unangenehm in einem Land zu leben und die Sprache vorher nicht so gut gelernt zu haben, dass ich mich halbwegs gut verständigen kann. Gerade hier in Łódź gucken sie mich immer wie eine Ausseridische an. Ich hab das Gefühl, egal wo ich hingehe, man erkennt mich immer sofort als nicht-Polin. Ich hasse das. 😓 Wenn ich in einen Laden gehe, dann lege ich mir immer einen Satz zurecht, den ich sagen werde, der bestimmt nicht korrekt ist, den sie aber verstehen werden. Dann antworten sie und ich bin raus. Das verstehe ich fast nie. “Sorry, I don’t speak polish.” Ist mir immer voll peinlich. Keine Ahnung, warum. Aber ich muss defintiv polnisch lernen!
Also, was kommt noch so auf mich zu? Morgen gehe ich mit Filip und seinen Freunden feiern. Und am Samstag fahre ich wahrscheinlich nach Gdańsk (Danzig) und besuche dort einen anderen Bekannten. Woher kenne ich die beiden eigentlich? Lustige Geschichte. Letzten Sommer war ich mit zwei lieben Freundinnen in Bulgarien. In dem Hotel, in dem wir gewohnt haben, waren zwei sehr nette Animateure. Der eine Pole (Filip), der andere Bulgare (Fudji). Wir sind alle in Kontakt geblieben und dann stellte sich zufälligerweise heraus, dass Filip da wohnt, wo ich hinziehen werde. Was ein Glück. Ich wüsste nicht, was ich ohne ihn täte. Danke Filip! 😊
First day - I'm strong 💪🏻😊
Today my boyfriend, Hendrik, and me met up with Filip. My polish friend over here. He showed us the city by day and I still like it. I even love it. There are so many beautiful buildings. Would be even more beautiful if they’d renovate them. The city is not so big and I love it if I can organize myself on my own. So it’s good for me. :D We bought a SIM Card today. I pay 20zł (złotych = Slotti) per month. That’s like 5€. And I’ve got 2GB LTE internet per month. In Germany we pay 25€ and more per month for that. Piwo (= Bier) is only 1€ (4zł) for 0.5l. I really like it over here 🙈😂
At the moment I’m in a hostel because I can’t move into my room before 20th of September. Hendrik has left Łódź as he has to work tomorrow. So sad. But I will go to bed early and do stuff tomorrow so that I mustn’t think about all the people I’ll miss while I’m here. The beginning of something new with out well known and loved people is always hard, I think. But I’ll manage it. I’m strong!! (Attention! Kitsch!) Cause everybody I love, is in my heart! ♥️

Actually, me and my boyfriend already saw the city center by night and we liked it! We went out to drink a beer and have a look at the city and the people. There are many beautiful old houses that are in very bad state. But let's see how it is by daylight 😃

First post - why the hell?
Hi, So this is my first post. Who would have guessed? :D let’s see how this is working. At first I think you’re all interested in “what’s she going to do over there in Poland?”. I’d love to answer this question but I’m not quite sure yet so I can’t. The main thing will be to teach children speaking german and helping them to improve their language skills. The second question some people could have in their minds is “why the hell is she going to POLAND?”. That’s easier to answer. I applied for a year or half a year in a foreign country. And with my organization I can’t choose which foreign country. I just chose a part of the world I’d love to go to and they chose a country in this part of the world. That’s how it’s going. And I chose east Europe ‘cause I wanted to explore Russia and now they send me to Poland. yeah, that’s it. The whole story. :D So I think we are all excited to find out how it’s going to be living in the country that’s closest to my home a foreign country could be. At the moment I’m having polish-classes once per week. The last one’s next week and then we’ll going to have a test to find out whether we really learned something or not.
