Hadiza Zakari is attending Miss Europe Continental

When something is extremely slow, a common expression you have probably heard at some point in your lifetime is “slow as molasses in January.”  Isn’t it ironic that National Molasses Bar Day takes place in February then?  Have you ever eaten a molasses bar let alone heard of one until now? Today is a great excuse to try one!  How can you say no to a sugary syrup that happens have calcium, iron and magnesium in it?  Say Molasses Bar three times quickly, you might twist your tongue! 

I will never forget when my mom sent me a giant popcorn care package my freshman year at Indiana University.  This tub took up at least a quarter of the dorm room I resided in.  It was split up between white cheddar popcnr, caramel corn, chocolate, and plain popcorn.  Let’s just say everybody on my floor loved my mom after that food package arrived.  On National Popcorn Day we dive into our seven favorite flavors!  No words needed here, the popcorn pops for itself!

Are you the type of person that always remains calm, regardless of the situation?  We are all about dissecting food idioms here at LoDel and “cool as a cucumber” has really got me thinking.  Did you know? When it is hot outside the inside of a cucumber remains approximately 20 degrees cooler than the air outside.

Dan started off the day lucky he was wearing red on one end.  Unlucky that he delve head first into a ketchup crisis.  Lets just say his hands looked like they belonged in a scene from Psycho.    Luckily he had napkins handy and went onto enjoy the bagel breakfast sandwich...thoroughly

Jeff continues to whip up gluten free meals that taste nothing like cardboard.  Although nobody could tell us that besides him, because ChefJeffGF is not the “sharing” type.  Being the youngest of 3 must have led to him feeling the need to hoard his food.
