So. After picking open a mortise lock today. I was asked by the customer how you do it. I'm happy to share the info as im a 1000% confident by seeing how it's done, bad people still wouldn't be able to do it. To be fair a lot of locksmiths cant pick mortise and tend to just drill them to gain entry. (My inner pride wouldn't allow me to drill them unless I really had to) As you can see in the video I use a wire and a tension like tool to throw the bolt once the levers are in place. This brand is an absolute nightmare to pick in the real world, it's not exactly easy with the see through cover either. When picking this lock for real, blind, I know when the levers are set just by feel.
