It happened now and then, more often lately now that they were stuck inside with no end date in sight.
And when Draco was bored, he tried to find things to do.
The problem was, Draco was stuck at Harry’s place. Which meant the amount of things to do were limited to reading Harry’s old Quidditch magazines, and binge-watching tv series.
Harry spent a large amount of time between the garage—fixing up his Godfather’s old motorbike—and in the garden, preparing the planter boxes for the new season. Harry was also a stickler for keeping things tidy and clean, which meant there wasn’t a lot of left over for Draco to fuss over.
That left puttering about on Harry’s computer.
“Harry! Do we have any instant coffee?”
“You know, the coffee you just pour hot water over and make coffee?”
“Uh... I’d have to check hang on.”
“Yeah, we have a small thing left. I think we must have got it when we last had Arthur and Molly over. You and Arthur were going insane over it.”
“Oh yeah. That’s right. Hand it over. Now where’s the sugar?”
“You’ll see. I saw it on the onlines.”
“Harry, can you pass me the whisker please?”
“What are you doing now?”
“Just pass me the damned whisker.”
“Here. Will you tell me now?”
“It’s something called Pancake cereal?”
“We make pancakes only, they’re really really small. And then we put them in a bowl and eat them like cereal.”
“Why don’t we just make big pancakes and eat them like pancakes? Or if you’re feeling peckish why not just eat cereal?”
“Because, Harry, it’s the thing to do.”
“Draco, why on earth are there tubs of water on all the tables with... what the hell are these? Are these scallion ends?”
“I’m regrowing them, Harry!”
“DRACO WHAT’S WRONG?! HANG ON, I’M COMING!”
“NO HARRY DON’T COME IN! I DON’T WANT YOU TO SEE ME LIKE THIS!”
“What the hell are you doing in there? Open the damned bathroom door!”
“NO! I’M NEVER COMING OUT. MY HAIR IS RUINED!”
“I...thought it would be a good idea to cut my own hair. Everyone is doing it.”
“Draco, I think you’ve had enough internet.”
“NO! Draco enough. You’ve been doing insane things for the last couple weeks and it always ends badly.”
“What? No it doesn’t. What about my pancake cereal?”
“I didn’t want to tell you at the time, because you were so proud. But I chipped my tooth on them.”
“Harry! How completely rude.”
“Are you, or are you not following another bloody trend this week? I need to prepare myself.”
“You just think you know everything don’t you?”
“Can we buy a Nintendo Switch? There’s a new game I want.”
