#wisdomteethsurgery #localanaesthesia last Monday, 30 Apr 👀 first time ever entering an operation theatre. it was a very spacious room, with a metal table in the middle. i thought i was going to be sitting on the usual dentist chair. i heard the radio playing. as i lay down on the metal bed, i faced the gigantic operation lights. 3 & 4 huge lights, like alien spaceships. the same dentist who talked to me last friday about the surgery was the one who operated on my teeth. she was so reassuring, it felt less scary. she was right. the injection was the worst part. last injection at the roof of my mouth was the surprise "ant bite". wow, wasn't expecting that! sat up, gurgled, teared. lie down. gripped my thumb so tightly. prayed so, so hard: please let everything be alright. a nurse cleaned my face. they wrapped towel over my eyes. saved from the blinding lights. the dentist talked me through the whole surgery. "you will hear drilling. you will hear cracking. a little pressure. alright, all stitched up. a lot pressure." they put in the gauze. i sat up straight. we are done. thank you doctor, thank you mama. ❤️ Alhamdulillah. 50% wisdom gone.
