I SWEAR I DO THE DECOY THING RIGHT SOMETIMES
This is the upper limit of what I'm capable of physically, and I am SO thrilled we have it on camera. Is it perfect? No. Is it a MASSIVE improvement? YUP.
Things going right here that I usually struggle with:
-FULL FOLLOW THROUGH. I am walking THROUGH the dog, not stopping and flinching/hesitating/trying to line up just before impact
-Weight on the CORRECT leg, allowing a proper turn and reset for the drive
-Arm in correct position through the jump (I have a problem "running away" from the bite, reflexively moving my arm back too fast too soon) and allowing the dog to "carry" me through the spin
-Didn't fall down lol
Things that could be improved:
-Hunched over for a little too long. In a perfect picture I'd have kept better balance or at least regained it a little faster
-Drive still needs to be wider and harder. Not necessarily faster, but harder.
-...I wouldn't mind faster, honestly
-This isn't remotely important, but if the world were made of candy and rainbows I'd love to quit making that weird face every time I get bit. I'm resigned to that one at this point, though, and I'd never complain about it again if I could make every catch this good.
I'm super pleased with this.

A couple weeks back we attended a French Ring seminar! The catches are VERY different from what I'm used to as a PSA decoy. Steep learning curve, but a lot of fun.
We've never tried canicross before, but we hit the ground running (literally, twice) today with an obstacle course marathon! I don't have many pics of the course, but we had a blast, and we finished!

Leg bites!
I'm trying VERY hard to drive her properly here--it's challenging! The goal is to run, slightly sideways, through the dog, as the dog remains on your leg.
She's pulling a small tire here to increase resistance and slow her down. This builds power in the bite.
"Attack on handler" scenario. This dog actually bit me hard enough to punch through the hidden sleeve and draw blood.
Would you believe he's 8 years old? This was actually his "retirement party." It's blurry here but he was wearing a celebratory cowboy hat. HIGHLY recommend being chomped by a dog with a cowboy hat, 10/10.
