#llama.

Spontaneously decided what I wanted to do with the llama leg I've had in my freezer for years, so a few weeks ago I skinned it, then tanned the skin, carved a form, and I finally got around to putting it together! It was a fun little project for myself and it cleared up some space in my freezer (though that didn't last long)

The last golden hour

From left to right: stillborn alpaca, another stillborn alpaca, a ~6 months old alpaca, few weeks old llama, adult llama

Now I just need an adult dromedary camel, and an adult and juvenile domestic bactrian camel, and then I think I'd have to accept not being able to get the wild species (guanaco, vicuña, wild bactrian). Unless I can find someone with the right connections and paperwork, so maybe I won't give up yet

When someone posted about 2 dead baby alpacas in a fb group I'm in, I had to ask if I could have them to work on. And I could! But uhh... I did not expect to get 2 dead young llamas. They are a LOT bigger than expected, there wasn't enough room in my freezer for two big animals so I had to take out some other ones to work on, and then after a lot of rearranging they still almost didn't fit 😳 there's no more room for any other animals (except for maybe a mouse) but at least they're in there now. I'm glad I bought a big freezer!

One of my favorite skulls is my llama skull! Llama skulls are quite hard to get in my country because not many people keep them as pets. I am so happy I got this one! Even though it is VERY greasy as you can see..
