Lizard Walk In Sabino Canyon

The last Sabino Canyon Volunteer Naturalist (SCVN) Lizard took place on October 12th. It was a perfect fall morning for a lizard walk. However, some lizards may have not agreed since the number of sightings were low. Still, it was a beautiful morning for a nature walk.

Naturalists Tom Skinner and Fred Heath welcome the walkers in front of the Sabino Canyon Visitor Center.

Happy Friday everyone!  These cool temperatures seem to have us all squeezing the last bit of outdoor activity out of every weekend.  Enjoy it.  We know what's coming, don't we?

It's Graduation Weekend at the UofA tonight!  Congratulations students!  Good luck to you as you head out into this wonderful world and make it a better place. Commencement ceremonies are tonight at 7pm at the University and tomorrow we have 2nd Saturdays Downtown followed by Second Sundaze at Tucson Museum of Art.  Might be a good weekend to use Uber or Lyft which is great since your graduate will want to borrow the car all weekend long anyway!  

This Saturday you can party.  Party for the Planet at The Desert Museum from 6:30 - 9:30PM with local brewers, food, shows and of course, the animals.  Earlier and on the other side of town, you can participate in the 2nd Saturday Lizard Walk at Sabino Canyon.

It's Mother's Day this Sunday and there are numerous things around Tucson to help Mom celebrate.  This Sunday, if you still have your Mom, make time to spend with her in person, or by phone.  Don’t run to the store for a card.  Instead, remind her how much she means to you. Write her a small heartfelt note or poem and then read it to her.  Best gift ever!    

Sunday night make plans for The Tucson Pops Orchestra at Reed Park featuring The Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus and Irish Dancing as well, with two local dancers taking the lead.  

it would be a crime for me to not take Rex (my savannah monitor) out for a walk right now...

I think I'll take some pictures of him too...
