Why do we spend so much time tearing each other down? Sometimes it’s easy to get lost behind the screens of our phones and not realize that there’s a real person sitting on the other side. We are so quick to judge others, to criticize others, to shame others because being behind these tiny little things makes us feel invincible. _____________________ But we aren’t invincible. We’re all real people just trying to live our best lives. Who are we to say when the appropriate time for a married couple to start having kids is? Who are we to say that a girl with curves can’t wear any number of fashion trends? Who are we to pass judgement on others who are only asking for compassion and advice? _____________________ The truth is, we get so caught up in the fact that we aren’t talking face-to-face with someone that we forget that they have feelings and desires and insecurities too. How about instead of spreading negativity, we stand up and start encouraging each other? I say that I’m building this community for honest conversation and I mean that.
