Is this what the kids call aura farming?

There is such a thing as over realistic gameplay:

Department head: I am reprioratizing your raise request. It's now at the bottom, right after never.
It hits you for 34 resolve.
(And yes I named my office worker after a manwha character. It's my fictional dead end job I can do what I want)

I had 3 thoughts hit me rapid fire when I listened to Eskel sing the nursery rhyme his mother used to sing to him.
1. That's adorable that he remembers that.
2. The way he sings it comes off as menacing. Like I could see a movie serial killer ominously singing exactly like that as he chases a victim down a hallway.
3. I know the wolves aren't big sharers but this is the first time Geralt has ever asked his brother if he remembers his mom?
Not as part of my regular schedule but I am going to be playing free games from steam that look interesting / weird on the occasional Tuesday night. (Bold innovative idea I know)
Anyway, the first game I'm going to try out: Battle for the raise.
If anyone has suggestions of other free steam games that are worth taking a look at I'd love some recommendations, so feel free to drop any in the comments.

I think one of the most enriching part of any video game, is being verbally salty about NPCs lack of agency.
Warrior: Sorry, caught up un the afterglow o' the battle, here's your payment.
Gertalt: Thanks, farewell.
Me: What afterglow of battle? You didn't do shit.
Other Warrior: Damn you slice em good. Grand those swords but I prefer me trusty axe.
Me: I bet that axe is super heavy and that's why you couldn't lift it to help me.
You know how in crime dramas there's always an episode or two about jurisdiction? Like the FBI comes in and tries to steal the case and everyone gets all huffy about it? I feel like the Witcher 3 did it better:
Case goes to whoever can obtain a TKO is much more time efficient than passive aggressively withholding evidence from the rival team.
Jingu: There's no need for bravado
(ushers in a very humble three helicopters and a small army of goons)
