Hot Springs Starter - @littledancingphoenix
It was some time after the incident with the vampires. Ash and Ling had been able to repel them and save as many of the captives as possible, and despite the losses they had already endured, the village was more or less at peace. Still, Ash had decided to stay; not only was the village a nice place when it wasn’t in a constant state of fear and grief, but he had become rather fond of Ling, despite—or maybe because of—the fake fiance story they had put on.
He still couldn't quite pin down his feelings for her, though. Maybe that’s what had drawn him to the hot springs: clearing his mind, making sense of things. So he had stripped, exposed his pale, mildly muscular body, and stepped into the hot water. He began bathing, his long, silver hair becoming wet in the process. Occasionally he let out low hums of satisfaction as he felt the water soak into his skin. Presently, though, his ears perked up.
“Hm? Who’s there?” he said in a neutral tone. “If you’re trying to ambush me, it's not working, I’m afraid.”
