Tk: *sends a photo of a cookie*

Carlos: who wants that 🐝 or tk?

Tk: ….🐝

Carlos: thank you for asking, as long as you had lunch you can have the cookie

TK was just doing the finishing touches on his masterpiece when he heard Carlos coming into the apartment. He froze, marker in hand and panicked. He was going to be in so much trouble. Tossing the markers to the floor, TK got up and scampered under the bed, his favorite hiding spot.

"TK, you home baby?" Carlos asked as he dropped his bag and keys.

TK heard the minute his daddy found his mural on the wall. "Tyler Kennedy! Get your butt out here right this minute!"

TK put on his cute face and inched out of the bedroom. "Yes?" Carlos sighed through his nose, his arms crossed. "Care to tell me what this is?" Carlos asked, pointing to the wall. "My art daddy..." TK explained softly.

TK's stomach filled with fear when daddy tilted his head to the ceiling, his eyes closed as he tried to calm down. He was about to be in a lot of trouble. "I-I wanted to draw a pretty picture for daddy... d-don't you like it?" TK asked, tearing up feeling guilty.

Carlos stepped forward and went down on one knee getting down on TK's level. "Baby, you know you're not supposed to draw on the walls.. we have paper for that, baby." TK shrugged, avoiding Carlos' serious and disappointed eyes. "Couldn't find any." Carlos put his finger under TK's chin to get him to look him in the eyes. "Tyler, you know that's a lie. You know that your construction paper is in the bin in the playroom where it always is, right?" TK stayed quiet, looking over at his nearly finished mural. "Right, Ty?" Carlos asked a little louder and firmer this time.

Tyler finally let his tears loose. He began to cry as he nodded. "Y-yes." Carlos sighed, squeezing TK's hands. "Baby, you understand you broke a rule, yeah?" TK nodded, still crying. "And because of that, you're going to go in time out for a little bit." TK nodded. "Can I have Pebble in time out?" TK asked, referring to his stuffed turtle that Paul got him at the zoo. "No baby, you know you're not allowed to have your toys in time out." That started a new round of tears and sadness even though TK knew what Carlos's answer would be.

Carlos picked TK up and placed him on the time out stool. TK hung his head while Carlos kissed his head. "Baby, you stay here till daddy's timer goes off and daddy's gonna clean up the wall okay?" "No! My PICTUREEEEE!" TK yelled. "Shhh, shhh, shhh, you know we can't keep it there baby. But you can redraw it for daddy when time out is over, that sound good? On paper this time?" TK was hesitant for a moment but eventually nodded.

Ten minutes later, the timer went off and TK ran to give Carlos a hug before running to get his markers and his paper before sitting at the kitchen table to recreate his picture.
