BACK IN TIME: POST WAR TO POST MODERN (II)
New Gallery on Old Bailey is proud to present Part 2 of “Back in Time: Post-War to Post-Modern”. Part 2 of this exhibition will continue to feature lithographs, serigraphs, etchings, sculptures, collages and paintings by multi-internationally acclaimed artists from the Post-War to Post-Modern periods, on view from July 7 to August 22, 2014.
Period after the Second World War had led to a new acceleration of the European and American art. The post-war period marked by the rise of Informalism in Europe; Abstract Expressionism and Pop Art in the United States. During these new waves of art movement in the mid-1900s, European and American artists exploited the traditional style and developed a new form of creation. Flourished with evolved new artistic techniques, works in this period offered an artistic vision free from traditional conventions and representations.
Travel back in time to see works by renowned artists, who played an indispensable role in the Golden Age of Art. Featured artists included Gianni Bertini, Baldaccini Cesar, Robert Combas, Ovide Maitec, Itsvan Nadler, Edik Schteinberg, Mimmo Rotella, Ben Vautier, Tom Wesselmann and more.
