I keep seeing three big reasons why she’s the “worst.”
1) She’s obsess with Mc and Stefan. And gladly is second best to Mc/wants Mc’s leftovers.
Okay, in order to relate it and make common ground with Mc is to tell us that “hey, we were both the same season. Except I was a casa girl. And oop, we might have similar taste, I tried grafting/dating your ex but he was so into you.”
“And overall, y’all appeared so perfect and cute. I admired your relationship and want to have a relationship like yours or have someone be that interested in me.”
(if we go off appearances. Bc Mc can say that everything isn’t what it seems. )
Like clearly she is our exposition/lore character to help us understand what is the status quo BUT narratively, you can infer the questioning especially as we get to Casa is to make sure Mc FOR SURE is done with Stefan. Bc let’s be honest. Ppl be seeing their ex’s and old feelings be coming up.
And they all here for a second shot at love. Plus she has history with Stefan, whether you believe it’s as strong as Mc and his, is beside the point. It’s Casa and she’s single, and he is too. She has the right to explore that.
2. If you’re on a Stefan route, she pulls him for chats knowing I’m interested.
Once again it’s love island. Step your pussy game up if you’re scared of competition. Like it’s chats, BFFR why are we acting like she’s stealing your man, being so vicious and talking bad and sabotaging you behind your back.
I feel like there’s nothing wrong with having chats and still exploring ALL available options.
I get the argument of “if we been spending most of the time with one li, why should she step in and talk to him.”
But at that point it’s the final chats before recoupling, I see no harm in getting final graft time or check in with all casa boys and villa girls to make sure you didn’t overlook anyone. It’s no different than the casa boys, trying to sell Mc about themselves before recoupling. Is that them moving snakey? (to Marshall in my game) And either way, Mc always chooses before Nat so you can still choose him. She can’t fuck you over.
3. It’s just shady behavior how she’s moving bc shes’s been pressuring us about him and saying we are couple goals. But she turns around and grafts and brings him back. Why not just say you want him from the jump?
We as in-game characters didn’t know he was coming back. I mean I feel like it goes without saying she was interested in him from their season. But it was pointless. So fast forward now, idk about others but her talking with him before and after our own clear the air chat. That was clear she is going for him. Go for it girl, I can’t be mad. I don’t want him. And it’s no girl code rule break bc she didn’t even know Mc before this show.
I ain’t gonna hold her to some dumbass standard when we all signed up for a show where we are literally sharing men. I just fail to really see the snake behavior.
To me it differs from Kat who takes your li unprovoked for a chat and heavily tries to flirt and make moves just because. Knowing damn well she’s full of hell and just wants to make her partner jealous, and she chooses yours because she respects Mc the least. 😭
Now if Nat was moving like that with Stefan or your li you actually wanted. We could talk, but girlie literally did what she’s supposed to do on the show.
Make a connection, lock it in and is bring him back. Idk I just find more and more of these overreactions in the fandom so annoying and exhausting from players.
Like damn no one can be competition no more. No one wants to work for their Li affection. They all should worship the ground Mc walks on and never acknowledge any other girl ever. It’s boring af.
Final thing, which just speaks to her overall personality or character traits. Some are holding on to her “shit talking” from the PDA Awards.

I'm not even mad, I'm just flabbergasted. Fusebox took the best thing they did in the last four seasons (the surprise dumping) and completely squandered it. It's almost impressive in how just how wrong they could get things. The whole lead up should have been the dropped jaws when everyone saw us return. Instead, they were like, yawn, nice to see you or whatever. Saw you in the postcard.
WHO. THE FUCK. MADE THIS CHOICE? What? Why? It's so fundamentally unsatisfying. This is our popularity fantasy. We should have walked in like shock and awe. But we didn't. It just undoes so much. Now, we don't know if R/R/L/J stuck because they were being loyal despite us being gone, or just because they knew we were there? And I'm positive the only reason they did this is so we'll find out later that Ozzy didn't switch because he knew MC was back and wanted to be with her instead. Oh man, the poor Ozzy girlies. I was one, then I went back and did a loyal Lewie route instead, but I feel for you.
Also I want it known that in the villa fic I'm writing, I 100% called that Ozzy and Grace would be getting back together. Because why wouldn't they? Fusebox continues to self-cannibalize S2, copying and pasting most of Hope and Noah's scenes on top of Ozzy and Grace's. Right down to the cake Nope couldn't decorate together and fought over--which was a metaphor for their relationship. Grozzy had pretty much the same scene only it was a dog house they metaphorically couldn't get on the same page with.
I have so many thoughts (and complaints about Amelia), but I think I'll do a separate post for that.
Guys, The Amelia Show is almost over! Love all the LIs (yes including Ryan) 🫶🏼 but I think we deserve compensation from FB. EMOTIONAL AND FINANCIAL (even for those who didn’t spend money on diamonds lmao)
Hate to say it, but the bad outweighed the good this season. Like pls 29 diamonds for a short amount of sexy time with your LI?? Not only that, the scenes were not it. They basically paraphrased every other sex scene in the game. Definitely not worth spending diamonds… annndddd I’m gonna say it. Most of the outfits were hideous and also not worth spending diamonds on. Don’t even get me started on the whole Grace thing. They had one job. Like how difficult was it to just NOT make the only black female (nonplayable) character an antagonist??? Make it make sense. They had the perfect opportunity to bring Ivy back to put Amelia in her place, but they fumbled it.
Also, I’ve had enough of these goddamn “double dates”. No, I couldn’t care less if Toby and Amelia are “perfect” for each other after her being pied off by every one of MC’s sloppy seconds. The forced sister relationship and the constant private chats with Amelia were too much for me to actually enjoy the game.
I don’t like being negative, and I KNOW I’m gonna continue playing (I’m ending the game with Andy) but I’m struggling to accept that no season is ever going to live up to S2. And that each new season might be progressively worse than the last. And as much as I would like to try other routes with the other LIs, I don’t really want to replay it.

Okay, I've received yet another four or five asks in my inbox about Suresh, so I'm just going to discuss this properly, once. I'm going to put the majority of this under the cut, because it specifically addresses very triggering topics for a lot of people.

TL:DR; you're all getting played by Fusebox, and they wrote Suresh to be an asshole on purpose.
I really appreciate that y'all are sending me these asks. Particularly as so many of them have mentioned that they feel that my blog is a safe space for POC. I cannot express how much that means to me. Thank you. I'm doing my best.
After this post, I will not answer, acknowledge, or in any way interact with any asks that compare Suresh to Harvey Weinstein, Andrew Tate, or any of the other real-life sexual predators & abusers he's been compared to, even if it's to defend him. While I appreciate y'all bringing it to my attention, it's just exacerbating it, and I'm not giving it a platform after this post.
I am not an expert in talking about race, nor am I an expert in writing POC. I'm not a POC, nor have I ever claimed to be. I just don't believe in putting discussions like this in the too-hard basket, and pretending they doesn't exist because it's a hard conversation to have. My willingness to have these discussions is not 'bandwagoning', or at least, it's not intended to be. I don't have the world's largest platform, but I have a small soapbox and I'm going to use it properly.
I'm also going to put a disclaimer here and say that this is only an opinion, and an uninformed one at that. I don't work for Fusebox, I don't have a degree in marketing or digital engagement, but I have done some work in User Experience and my degree's partly in Cultural Anthropology, so I know a little bit about human behaviour and the way we engage with online media.
Again, not an expert. Just cynical and sick of the debate.
So here's the sitch.
They wrote Suresh to be a toxic, pushy asshole on purpose.
His behaviour, in some areas, is not great. The gaslighting, the manipulation, implying he used to trick her into sleeping with him. Many people, including myself, have been in emotionally abusive relationships with people who are like this. It's not nice. It's certainly not entertainment.
But you cannot sit there and tell me that this script did not go through multiple rounds of revisions. You think this wasn't brought up at Fusebox HQ? I can absolutely guarantee you that it was.
So why on earth would writers write him this way?
Because it gets you talking about the game.
Ever heard of the phrase 'Any publicity is good publicity'?
There are 1000+ LITG Fanfictions on Ao3. Guess which season has the fewest fanfics? Season 3. Often casually referred to as 'The Disney Season'. The only drama during that season was Ciaran/Tai/Yasmin picking MC, and/or Rafi/Lily flirting heavily with MC. Feel free to tell me I'm wrong, but overwhelmingly, it was a very sweet season with generally likeable and unique characters.
Season 2 had so, so many characters with different backstories, interests, motivations, etc. that it was hard to find someone who didn't like one of them at least a little. And people engaged so much with that content. Just based off the fanfiction numbers (because I don't have any official stats) at least 75% of the LITG FF content is for Season 2.
But here's the thing: It's far easier to make people angry than it is to make them fall in love.
What is the one thing almost everyone spent gems on during Bombshell? Telling off Juliet. It's basic engagement principle that people are going to be more engaged when they're emotionally invested in a piece of media. It's why clickbait exists. It's why internet trolls exist, for fuck's sake.
So why on earth would they bother spending the extra time in developing complex, multifaceted characters, when as a fandom, we've made it perfectly clear that we'll spend more money, more time, and more brain space into tearing apart characters we hate, rather than doing the same for characters we love?
Fusebox are a business. They do not care if the game offends you. What they do care about are those sweet, sweet advertising dollars. And if they can show a reddit sub with thousands upon thousands of eyes on it, all ranting and raving about Suresh, they can absolutely turn to an advertiser and say "Yo, look at our engagement levels!"
This is just capitalism. It's business. If they take it too far on a TV show, advertisers will start pulling out. But advertisers only pull out when there's an actual, honest-to-god backlash. And most of the advertising (in my LITG2 app at least) isn't for products or companies with a reputation. It's for other games. Meaning that, realistically, if you did want to complain to an advertiser about the game being racist, sexist, misogynistic who are you going to complain to? Apple? The fuck do they care? They haven't broken any laws?
It's specifically designed to be controversial and problematic. That is the entire point. If this kind of thing triggers you, DNI.
Fusebox do not care about individuals' experiences.
A few people will be so triggered or turned off by the content that they'll leave. But enough of us stayed, engaged, and participated in the game to make it worth their while. So Fusebox just continues to exist in this sweet space, where they just insert more and more problematic characters, leading to higher and higher engagement. As long as they don't cross any hard lines, they can do it forever.
The inherent problem with this, is that a lot of people don't know when to stop.
And this is when it starts getting really fucking sad.
Y'all are taking a guy that's specifically designed to piss you off, and deciding he's an abuser, gaslighter, manipulator, etc. There are already so many stereotypes about South Asian men being pushy, or demanding, or that they don't respect women.
I've seen so, so many instances in the reddit sub, on facebook, and even in the official Discord server of language that tars all South Asian men as being this way. People saying, and I fucking quote, "I wouldn't mind it so much if it was Eddie". (Thanks, Reddit).
Firstly, there's a good reason that it's not Eddie. And that's because, as demonstrated by the quote above, a lot of people would be far more willing to excuse this behaviour if it was coming from a pretty white boy.
So why is this?
Why do you think they made the manipulative, 'won't take no for an answer' man be from Southern Asia?
Why do you think they made Hope a sassy, determined black woman?
Why do you think they made Miki a quirky, shy, but nosy East Asian girl?
Even Lottie, who's a whiny little shit isn't from the UK.
This game is most popular in the UK. It's also popular elsewhere, but its main target audience is the UK. It's why most of the characters are from there, the script contains UK slang, etc.
It's so much easier to hate someone when they're not 'from here'.
Check out any American superhero movie. The villain is foreign. In Hollywood movies, they're British, French, Russian, Chinese, South American, Arabic, whatever. They're just foreign. Or different.
They're others.
Because it sells.
It's easier for you to team up with your mates on reddit and condemn Suresh for his behaviour than it is to do it to someone who looks like you.
But guess what?
There are people who play this game who are People of Colour.
(Shocking, I know. They enjoy playing games too!)
And whenever you buy into this bullshit that Fusebox is feeding you, whenever you pile on a character like Suresh, you are making them feel like they're not welcome here.
People of Colour are being used as a means to an end.
Instead of writing complex, multi-dimensional villains with real motivations, Fusebox are using basic clickbait to get you to engage.
And that's super fucking unfair.
I'm not telling you to do anything. I'm not telling you not to play. I'm not going to stop spending money on it. I'm certainly not going to stop.
I just want people to be aware of what they're doing.
Be aware of the fact that they're playing into your preconceived ideas of race, culture, and ethnicity.
Be aware of the fact that they are trying to you to engage at at all costs.
Be aware that your rabid fan-ness can actually spur others into a mob mentality.
Be aware of the fact that you're allowed to criticise characters. But criticise the writing. Criticise the business tactic.
Don't fall into the quicksand!
Don't let yourself make it about race. Stop letting others make it about race.
Stop engaging with it when it becomes about race.
Stop engaging when your friends compare him to Harvey Weinstein, Andrew Tate, Prince Andrew, etc. He's a character from a mobile game. They are real people who have hurt real women.
Show Fusebox you'll engage with the stuff you do like, as opposed to only engaging when it's piling on to a character.
Get rabid about the drama, not about the character.
And look, I'm writing this out in a long, one-shot rant, so I might've completely rambled, contradicted myself, or said something completely wrong, so please forgive me if I have.
I just hope this helped someone see it for what it is.

Idk about y'all, but I think Suresh's greatest offense to MC is robbing her of her individuality. She isn't an Islander, she's Suresh's ex that he cheated on. Suresh isn't the Ex in the Villa, MC is. MC is nothing besides Suresh's One That Got Away. Every secret MC has has to do with Suresh. Every bit of her miniscule backstory, every conversation with other Islanders, everything has to lead back to Suresh.
And the same could be said for him, but here's the thing:
He signed up to be on the show with his ex. MC didn't.
"You deserve better than him." "I could treat you better than him." "Suresh is a player." Suresh, Suresh, Suresh. Nothing like "What do you do for a living?" "What's your family like?" "How would you describe yourself?"
MC is no one. She's whatever people tell her to be. Wear this. Do this. I know you.
Well my MC is screaming. She hates being told what to do and what to think. She hates having her privacy constantly invaded. She hates Suresh for taking her identity outside of him away.
Yesterday was ✨rough✨ for Suresh girlies and if my inbox was anything to show for it we are all down BAD for the pixel man. but I will say, I got soooo many good rants, theories that I want to summarize to keep the Suresh girlies fighting the good fight. babes that is our man!! we gotta stick beside him!
To summarize...the boys get back from Casa and Suresh is uncharacteristically quiet. Sure he walks in cocky, hand in hand with Lulu but after seeing Gabi and MC the man is at a loss for words. All of the cockiness, the swag, the smugness seems to have evaporated from his body. And then MC chooses a Casa boy to couple up with Suresh holds Lulu closer and tries not to react. In his mind, he's blown it. He had this plan to come back in with Lulu to save his spot in the villa, win back MC and then he saw Gabi. He has no idea what she's been saying to MC, he knows the reminder of Gabi alone, is enough to destroy MC, so what does he do? He goes back to the pattern we've seen before. He tells Gabi & MC that he's all about Lulu and Gabi & MC are in the past. Now where did I hear that before? Oh yes, with Arlo. And I know some anons thought that Gabi + Suresh might've kissed on the rooftop, I really don't think this happened. If you play out the scene, and think about the moment, what MC walks into isn't two ex lovers parting from a steamy kiss. It's two people standing there and there's a very awkward, tense energy. Even the exchange, Suresh is sitting there telling Gabi that she was a rebound, a brief fling. Now why would he do that, if he had just been kissing her five seconds ago? Also Gabi would've 100% outed him right then and there if that were the case. The next morning when they're asked how everyone's night was and Gabi and Suresh are awkward and uncomfortable...she's awkward because she's still down for our man too! Can you blame her?? And he's uncomfortable because of MC! she's literally in the bed next to his. Then they get the text about dumping the least compatible couple. He know's that's him and Lulu. He's not going to rock the boat right now and risk his place AND MC's place by breaking up their couples. He's waiting. He's moving super quiet right now. Don't lose hope yet girlies...THATS MINE!!!! AND IM GONNA STICK BESIDE HIM!!!

Why I hate everyone in s5 (and a few things I like about some of them)
Clearly I’m invested in this season despite having about 0.000001% satisfying content (and I’m being very generous with the word satisfying here), but as the gif says, I’m in it, and when fictional characters treat our MC’s badly, I think the best thing for us to do is come together and rage about it so we can feel empowered in real life when real people treat us shitty.
So without further ado, a breakdown of the main LIs and what I like about them but mostly what I hate about them.
Suresh
Let’s start with the clear center of attention of this season. The one the writers desperately want us to be hung up on even though they refuse to give Suresh stans anything but abuse and scraps.
When the season started, I was all in on this man. He is incredibly hot, cocky, confident. I’m all about that. I have several fic ideas in my google docs on how to give this cheater a redemption arc. I was excited for Suresh to win MC back, hopefully in spite of all the gorgeous wonderful love interests that MC had to choose from…
What a sweet naive little baby I was back then. I will say that Suresh has some compelling moments. He says some really touching things. Even seems believable when he says them. But I quickly learned that even when you’re into him and ready to get back together, he pushes you away repeatedly, outright lies to you and any other girl he’s flirting with. He cheats on MC and takes a photo… A PHOTO of the girl, then doesn’t even have the good sense to delete it. Brazen! Then he tells MC it was a one time thing, he regretted it immediately, he couldn’t date anyone after her for a while, he never got serious with anyone after her. All lies.
And I’m no Arlo fan, but the way he treats her is seriously fucked up and shows his bad character. He acts super into her in front of others, then tells MC how she’s the only girl for him. Flirts with MC during his date with Arlo, in such a sneaky way that he makes Arlo believe that he’s flirting with HER. He even tells Arlo that he is completely over MC and that Arlo is the only girl he’s interested in, that he sees a future with her. No wonder this bitch is freaking out on MC all the time! Suresh is gaslighting the fuck out of her! To me, Suresh really lost all chance of convincing me that he cared about MC when Arlo starts yelling at her across the room because Suresh had been flirting with her (despite several attempts by MC to tell him to back off) and he just giggles and laughs like he’s having a grand ol’ time watching MC’s throat get ripped out. If he had stood up for her and told Arlo to calm down, taken the blame, I think I would be a Suresh stan right now. But he didn’t so I’m not.
Alfie
Ohhhhh Alfie. I wanted so badly to love him. He’s cute, charming, cheeky, seems to really like MC, he even understands the pain of being cheated on! He’s giving MC darling little nicknames (that he never uses when they’re actually coupled up). If you’re on a Dana route, he’s arguably even more endearing because he’s quietly pining after MC all that time while trying to remain a supportive bestie.
The first red flags with him were with Kat and Meera. He told Kat he only had eyes for her even though he’d been flirting shamelessly with MC the whole time. Then when Meera showed up, he was like, can someone please remove this bag of trash labeled MC so I can go sniff Meera’s perfect Barbie vagina?? He doesn’t truly want a real human person as a partner, apparently. He resents MC for having past relationships, and cannot DEAL, despite constant reassurance from MC. So when computer generated Meera shows up, who has no past to speak of, no drama, no impulse to challenge him or really do anything besides serve as a human laugh track to Alfie, he drops us so fucking hard despite telling us how special we were like two minutes earlier.
Inexplicably, he chooses MC anyway, and tries to act like he’s somehow being romantic? I’m sorry that I’m not swooning over your tortured moment of barely picking MC. I was all in on you and really liked you and you treated me like a burdensome problem you wish you didn’t have for the past 24 hours.
Well you know the rest. He tells MC he’s ready to commit for the rest of LI. He’s falling for her. He’s SERIOUS YALL. And then Kat merely alludes to MC just talking to Suresh, which Alfie already knew about because he left to let her do it, he runs off crying and shoves his tongue down his best friend’s girl’s throat so fast. The way he treats Finn is so fucking shady! What an immature baby Alfie is! He doesn’t want a real relationship. He wants to play pretend that he’s in love where everything is smooth sailing and his partner only exists to please him. Which is what he did when Meera came back A COMPLETELY CHANGED IMPROVED PERSON, after being away for like, 2…maybe 3 days? However much time it was, the Villa took longer blubbering goodbye to her when she got voted off (WHAT WAS THAT ABOUT BY THE WAY?)
Finn
Mostly, I like Finn okay. He’s pretty funny and fun to be around. But I don’t trust him. He’s been flirting with MC on the side the entire time and if I were Kat, I would be so hurt. I don’t like how he’s leading Kat on the believe that he’s all in on her and then telling MC she’s really the one he wants. Not to mention that he’s always like, hmm I like you MC and I can’t put my finger on why 🤔 uhh because I’m a hot awesome genius with the patience of a goddamn saint for not pulling a Carrie on this entire Villa??
That being said, in this fictional world, he might be the best option available in the next few weeks, so I’m not totally ruling him out.
Dana
Dana is arguably the worst character in LITG history. She is a bundle of contradictions. She’s your best friend and would NEVER mess with your ex (not that we asked her to do this, she VOLUNTEERS this information)… until she does mess with your ex and decides she wants to get to know him. She doesn’t want to get to know Eddie, except for when she does. She’s all in on MC and fancies her the most, except when Eddie, Suresh, Arlo, or Gabi are around.
She does all the same fucked up shit that Alfie did but she is extra shitty to MC during Casa, even though she actually had the option to talk things out. I don’t blame her for that). Even if you’re just friends with Dana, she ignores you the entire time at Casa when MC is reeling from being cheated on, YET AGAIN. And as soon as everyone is reunited and you have some SHIT TO SAY to about 15 different people, she drags you off to ask for advice and comfort because Gabi is being shady. Don’t care! Nicolas
Jury is out on Nicolas. He’s hot and really nice to MC. I’m annoyed he hasn’t tried to touch MC’s boobs yet, though. And I’m nervous how they’re playing up his “love of drama”. I did think it was kinda cute when he’s like, I’m just trying to show you that your ex baggage doesn’t bother me. MC needed to hear that, and Nicolas is a schemer, but he’s the first fucking person to be on MC’s team and looking out for her. So he wins this week 🏆
I assume Johnny is similar, which is a shame because he had a very distinctive personality from Nicolas initially and sounds like they’re just melding them together or rather, giving him Nicolas’s personality.
Gabi
Full disclosure, i haven’t done any scenes with Gabi. Maybe she’s nice. I truly don’t blame her about Suresh cheating. I have no ill will towards her about that even though she seems to believe we’re competition. I do know that she was a bitch to MC when she came in, and that she is seemingly still hung up on Suresh even though he lied about her and ghosted her in the cruelest way. Which is annoying and sad. And she seems to be using Dana, which is also shitty. Doesn’t seem like a person I’d want to take a chance on.
Did I forget someone? If I did, they probably suck too.
