I got a chance to see We Have Always Lived In The Castle last year here in LA at a film festival, and...no, I did not love it. At all. And I wanted to, because I love supporting lady directors! And Seb!
Now, there were a few nice moments, but overall, it didn’t gel for me in the slightest. BUT!!! You guys might all love it!!! Just because I wasn’t a fan doesn’t mean it won’t speak to you. So, please don’t let me discourage you or anyone else from seeing the film. (Like, some people hated Destroyer, and I legit thought that was one of the best films I saw last year - holy hell, Nicole killed it.)
