Gamers, why do we like it when numbers go up? It makes a plus one in your brain. But we are all statted differently! There are an infinite number of individual stats that can not be represented in any game. At least not yet.
But every social action you make is a numbers go up game. People prefer to act in a way that enhances the numbers they prefer. Over time different groups formed around different likes! Different similarities! It is evolution to the point where it affects things that are immaterial.
We are all the same! I now get why it comes up as a funny [insert media of your choice]. Because we all think that concept, but on vastly different levels.
Like, put two fingers together. If you look closer and closer, at some level, molecularly? atomically? Beyond?
