   “Hey how are ya,” he muttered after abruptly getting up from his own seat on the subway and grabbing another seat much closer to the lone woman. It was a strange thing to do, no doubt about it, especially when the rest of the train was vacant except for one guy who was looking at her in a way that Richie didn’t like one bit.Â
  Sure, she looked like the type who could take care of herself (hell, most likely better than Richie ever could) but there was strength in numbers, right?
   “I know how I look right now, but the guy behind you is being a real weirdo.”
