Lisbon Oceanarium...
December 4, 2018
We had a lazy start to the day, having coffee and breakfast in the apartment. There’s always catching up to do, like buying tickets for going to New Zealand in February. It’s quite involved to plan a trip to a continent you’ve never been to before. There’s so much to learn. Fortunately, our friends, Diana & John Privara, have been there many times and are giving us tips. We quickly realized that 10 days barely scratches the surface, so have had to whittle down our agenda to include only the South Island and only the Nelson and Queenstown areas.
We decided to go to the Lisbon Oceanarium today, and to take the 90minute walk vs. the 15 minute Uber. I want to try to keep up with exercising while travelling. That said, it was not a great walk. We had planned to walk along the waterfront, but there was a barrier between the walkway and the waterfront, and the areas on both sides of the sidewalk were mostly train tracks and industrial. Really, nothing to see. We did get lots of steps in, that was the only perk to the walk.
We enjoyed the Oceanarium very much. We went to their special exhibit also, but the
€3/each we paid for the exhibit wasn’t really worth it to us.
