Hey loves!

So I am a fan of dark lips. Quite a big fan actually. So I’ve put together a few of my current favourites in case anyone needs some lip-spiration.

Now I just have to quickly mention my old faithful – Rebel from MAC – who has been with me through thick and thin and was my first really dramatic shade, but this post is dedicated to my newest discoveries. I’ve really been a fan of just applying mascara, bronzer and then a bold lip to finish. It’s such an easy look and makes you look like you’re done but you haven’t spent 20 minutes blending out eyeshadow and applying falsies.

Hands down my favourite colour out of this bunch in the one from Sportgirl. The colour is amazing, and this goes on nice and smooth. I was honestly surprised at the amount of pigment this lippie packs. It has a matte finish and isn’t drying at all. Pretty long lasting, although it does transfer (watch your man run for the hills when you go in for a kiss!).  It truly makes a great statement lip.  

Next favourite would have to be the Nars lip pencil.. The colour on this is just great. It’s that perfect reddy brick shade that you can wear with almost any eye look. I love the shine finish on this pencil, however you do need to be careful when applying it. It’s super creamy so it can smear easily if you’re not careful. Definitely need a mirror for this bad boy.

I’ve also loved my matte Revlon balm lately. I’m into matte finishes, and I love the ‘chubby pencil’ packaging concept, it’s just so practical for on the go. However, how they managed to make a matte balm that isn’t drying baffles me. This shade wears really well and the colour you get after most of the intensity has worn off is a really natural pinky/mauvey colour that makes your lips looks juicy and plump.

My Revlon Super Lustrous lippie was a surprising purchase. I went high and low searching for a good dark purple/almost black shade and ended up with this. To be fair my boyfriend found it for me (he was very impressed with himself). I love the colour, but I find this shade a little hard to apply. It looks patchy if your lips are slightly dry, so a lot of prep work is needed before I rock this colour. It does make my teeth look super white though and is very affordable.
