Let me share with you a little honestly about this piece. A little while ago, a friend contacted me about a new tattoo that she wanted with this quote. Of course I was ready to jump all in. But then she mentioned the word “floral” and my heart sank. Floral is not my strong area. But I was ready for a challenge.
Fast forward to a few ideas that I had, and she picked the one that I hated drawing. It’s like she knew how much I needed to be challenged. So, I fixed my font, and set it aside for days because of that darn wreath on the outside. I finally got back to it, because time was obviously running out, and I was finally able to add a little bit of me with a floral inspiration.
When I force myself into something, often times I forget to let myself work naturally and I get frustrated. But once my brain starts overflowing, my pen doesn’t stop. We both love how this turned out and I am so thankful for my dear friend that gave me the challenge.
