Linear Glimpses
Isabella Rose was a name V & I had picked out if we were going to have a daughter.
I think we were 19 when we first had that discussion. I can’t really recall and maybe I just wish to forget that life already.
I stared into her emerald green eyes and tried to imagine her, our baby, but unlike everything else in my life that had just so happened to have actually taken place or manifest itself into reality, no image came to my mind this time.
Decades later, that exact name pops up once again, So now I am certain that none of it is coincidence.
Isabell Rose was a name that came to me in a daydream with that name handwritten in script in brown ink over a white envelope. The letter just said: “La Rosa es tu abuela.” “Rose is your grandmother.” My dad’s mom.
Just a couple of weeks ago I was in Puerto Rico telling a friend (Junior) how life & God give us clear signs of where we are supposed to go or where we should be.
And even though we may think that some of these signs seem ridiculous in retrospect as we sit back and explain to others how we arrived at this point— that particular ridiculousness in them is exactly what makes them signs we should follow.
All of this now also makes me think back to when Hector reminded me that time itself is potentially linear, which means that all things: past, present and future, happen at the same time or are happening at the same time.
It’s quite a concept to grasp, But a long one, so approach with caution.
So time being linear is what makes some of us feel as if we have been with others in the past. It may just be that since it is happening in the future, but the future is linear, we see glimpses...
Anyway, Now I know Where the origin-story for the name Isabella Rose in that linear-theory of time derives from..
