Question From Lindethiel
Sheād been lurking just around corners or down hallways for the entire day. Any time Laure would glance her direction, Lindethiel would spin on her heel and dart the other way, or zip around the corner out of sight, or throw herself into the closest room that had an open door. That trend continued for the entire day:Ā Lindethiel following Laure but always at a distance and always running off when noticed. She might have always been a bit clingy, but this was a new level of awkward goblin.
As the evening wore on and the day drew nearer to close, she peeked once around a corner to find Laure alone. So she hovered a bit longer,Ā like some sort of anxious cat debating how hungry it was and if that bird looked pecky. Just when the tension was likely on the cusp of being Genuinely Annoying she slipped around and tried to look casual in her approach.Ā
āHey. Goldenboyā Laure. Uh, so look, I umāā Fidgeting was not her usual method, and she apparently noticed herself doing it as she abruptly straightened and cleared her throat. āI donāt really know who else to ask about this stuff, and uhh- I just have some questions, andā well, aboutā I mean, you get me, so I thoughtā so, the wedding night?ā
āFinally decided to talk to me then?ā he asked, a lopsided smile, āI wondered if you were going to bother. I hadnāt realised that Iād suddenly become particularly scary and unapproachable overnight.ā
He looked both ways up and down the corridor, no-one being there at the moment. However, if Lindethiel truly wanted a serious answer and if her fumbling and reluctance to approach him before asking anything was to be believed as serious and not an elaborate ruse, then out in the open might not be the best place to talk. He nodded to the left that she follow him and started walking.
āYou too then? Well, Iāll tell you what I told Rog; I canāt imagine you want to know the obvious, so what is it thatās worrying you?ā

"Don't be scared." (from @lindethiel)
Hiding in the caves was perhaps not her smartest idea, but she needed somewhere to hide after a rather bad run in with pirates. She had been minding her own business diving when one tried to steal her finds. Which hadnāt ended well for the offending party or her for that matter. The worse of her injuries were the lacerations on her forearms, and one which had sliced through her fin(which admittedly hurt worse). Laume curled closed to the wall before noticing who it was, yet she still didnāt relax, and simply stared at Lin with wide teal eyes.

Lin: IT'S A THEORETICAL CONVERSATION I DON'T ACTUALLY-- I MEAN, PFFFFT, THAT'S JUST-- I NEVER SAID I *DO* HAVE ANYTHING LIKE THAT
I think the lady doth protest too much...

Lindethiel made her way into the Hall of Fire, and saw ahead that Goldenboy was already lost in his thoughts watching the flames. Grabbing two bottles along her way (always good to have a spare, in case), she stepped over the bench he was seated on and dropped down close to his side, brushing his arm. She glanced over at him before leaning against him. āThank you.ā
āThank you?ā he asked quietly, slightly moving his arm asideto allow her to rest more comfortably, āI donāt recall having done anything tobe thanked for.ā
He glanced at her, wondering at her mood as it seemed toreflect his own, but perhaps that was just his projecting. Taking a deep breath and hedid his best to push any lingering melancholy aside. If Lindethiel needed hiscomfort, he would be there for her. Whatever it was for. He was being an oldfool anyway in letting himself dwell on things he couldnāt change.
As was her custom, Lindethiel knocked on his door frame and entered before being actually invited. As was also becoming her custom, she had a plate of cookies with her -- all 'dirks', and all with pink frosting on them. She set down her offering before sitting in one of the chairs and offering him a grin. "Strawberry frosting, so you'll forgive the unique choice of color," she explained in entirely false innocence. "I, uh-- actually wanted to talk to you. If you're not too busy?"
@lindethiel
Rubbing at his hair with a towel now and one wrapped tightly about his hips, he knew the timbre of the knock and the fact there was no wait before the door had opened just confirmed it for him. Heād sighed softly, risen from the bath heād not long drawn and made himself decent before going through to see his visitor.
āWhat a pleasant surprise!ā he chuckled lightly as he emerged from his bedroom and stopped to look at the plate she set town, hands stilling and he looked up at her, feeling a very slight heat in his cheeks, though he couldnāt help laughing.
āStrawberries, my favouriteā he muttered, amused and slumped down into a chair, carefully making sure his towel was in place and continued with drying his hair.Ā āClearly Iām not busy,ā he said,Ā āunless you need me to leave immediately, then youāll have to give me a few moments to dress.ā
Lindethiel shuffles her way closer to him, trying to look totally casual and oblivious to the fact sheās shuffling close. Pausing near him, she shoots a few quick glances his way before looking around more. Then, without further ado, she shuffles into his chest and hides her face and wraps her arms around him.
Watching with one brow raised, Glorfindel said nothing as she performed her strange ritual, clearly not wishing to lookĀ like she wanted any affection to any outsiders. The last thing he would do would be shame her or embarrass her or in any way draw attention in this kind of situation, with her or anyone else. Instead, he simply wrapped arms round her in return, willing to stay as long as required.
