Something cool about lemurs? :3
unlike the simian primates, lemurs do have a single residual claw on both of their feet!
this appendage is indeed a true claw instead of a fingernail, and lemurs use it like a comb to keep their fur clean and expertly coiffed.
STEAL HER LOOK! GROOM YOURSELF WITH YOUR FEET
What is the most wtf-y fact you can share about endemic Madagascan wildlife?
until very recently (in geological terms, anyway) if you were inclined to go sprinting off randomly into the madagascar bush like a total idiot, you might have come face to face with a giant lemur roughly the size and shape of a male gorilla!

Archaeoindris shared space with humans for a few thousand years before tragically going extinct in about 300 BCE, well after the pyramids had been built! Alexander the Great was storming a WHOLE bunch of angry pachyderms over a mountain range while this thing was still shuffling around quietly in the underbrush, stuffing leaves and wild tubers into its horrible giant lemur maw with wild abandon.
and that’s really weird to think about.
Something cursed about a lesser known rodent of your choice? :3
when under duress the african spiny mouse will shuck itself like an ear of corn, literally sloughing its skin off fur and all! this is useful for leaving a predator with a mouthful of really gross skin-on fur and no actual mouse, but absolutely under no circumstances should you google it.

Rules: 1. always post the rules 2. answer the questions asked and then write 11 new ones 3. tag 11 people
1. If you could live anywhere, where would it be? Either in Iceland or in a nice house not far from where I live now (one of the prettiest neighbourhoods in town is about 1 km from here, by the river).
2. What is your biggest fear? Drowning
3. What would you change about yourself if you could? I’m too lazy to do proper exercise, so I would definitely change that. I’m also not very good at getting to know new people, so that too.
4. What really makes you angry? Bigoted and dishonest people who screw others over for money!
5. What is your proudest accomplishment? I HAVE A PILOT’S LICENCE! I STILL CAN’T SAY IT WITHOUT SHOUTING!
6. What makes you laugh the most? My significant other and our dog.
7. What was the last movie you went to? What did you think? Crimson Peak. I liked it. It was a good old-fashioned ghost story. It wasn’t particularly scary, but that’s okay, I was in the mood for something like that anyway! And it had great actors. Pretty much the entire cast consisted of my favourites.
8. What did you want to be when you were small? Either a pilot or a Olympic-level equestrian.
9. If you could choose to do anything for a day, what would it be? I WOULD FLY ALL THE PLANES.
10. Would you rather ride a bike, ride a horse, or drive a car? Ride a horse. Unless the weather’s really crappy. Then I would drive a car.
11. What would you sing at Karaoke night? Something embarrassing and silly, probably, since I would most likely be drunk off my arse.
My questions:
1. Which fictional universe would you live in and why? 2. Who is your favourite fictional character and why? 3. Favourite song? 4. Have you ever written poetry? 5. Knowing what you know now, would you study the same thing at the university? 6. If you could travel back in time, where would you go? 7. Favourite book? 8. Favourite historical period (even if you didn’t want to time travel there)? 9. Who would you cast as the next James Bond? 10. What about the next Doctor? 11. Pirates, ninjas or vampires?
Tagging the people mentioned below.

You may have already noticed, but the theme of the blog is a little bit broken. Perhaps it discriminates against screens that aren't really wide or perhaps it doesn't work on any screen, but the thing is that the sidebar jumps on top of the entries and that is sort of really annoying? Just. Y'know. Wanted to mention it. Okay thank you love the blog keep up the good work and happy holidays!
omg, okay. you're the fourth person to send me a message about this same problem, but for the life of me i don't know what's happening.
the theme looks fine to me in all my browsers (chrome, safari, firefox), and also in both my ipad, laptop, and computer. so i honestly don't know what the frick is going ooonnn
i'm going to start looking for another theme, though!! so that should be fixed soon :D and i'm so terribly sorry for it omg i feel like such an awful mod lsdkjfsdf
Re: the latest guest episode. There is a rather British (those not surprised, raise your paws) gesture which is kind of like the V for "victory", except the back of your hand faces outwards. The more elaborate version involves placing your other hand on the inside of your crooked elbow.
There exist a number of amusing stories about how this gesture came into being. Check it, followers.
I just wanna tell you that this blog is AWESOME. Both Twilight (ick) and 50 Shades (ick ick ick) are on my list of things to read just for the hell of it, and I honestly can't tell whether this is making me wait or dread for it more. Either way, I have been laughing 'til there were tears and sore stomach muscles.
Hahaha, thank you kindly!!! I’ve heard that laughing makes you live longer, so now you have even MORE time to dread the mere existence of such literature!
Yay!
