The blackened tilapia fish tacos taste great and fill you up. A spicy blackening seasoning is mixed into the tilapia fillets, and they are then seared in a pan until the outside is perfectly black and the inside is still soft. With a squeeze of lime, crunchy cabbage, juicy tomatoes, creamy avocado, and warm tortillas, these tacos are full of fresh tastes and textures.
Ingredients: 4 tilapia fillets. 2 tablespoons blackening seasoning. 2 tablespoons olive oil. 8 small flour tortillas. 1 cup shredded cabbage. 1/2 cup diced tomatoes. 1/4 cup chopped cilantro. 1 avocado, sliced. 1 lime, cut into wedges. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Add salt and pepper to tilapia fillets and rub them with blackening seasoning. In a pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Grill tilapia fillets for three to four minutes on each side, or until they turn black and are fully cooked. Use a separate pan or the microwave to warm up the tortillas. Place tilapia fillets on tortillas, then add shredded cabbage, diced tomatoes, cilantro, and avocado slices on top. Comes with lime wedges to squeeze over the tacos.
