That time when he lost you in the crowd.

It was supposed to be a cute date. You wanted to go to the night market because you saw some cute bracelets on the internet, and apparently they sold them at the night market.

But you, being you, got distracted by an ice cream stall.

Louis was holding your hand tightly, protecting you from the crowds as the two of you walked through it. Unfortunately, due to how packed that place was, he accidentally let go of your hand, and when he searched for it again, he couldn't find it.

Panic crept up through his body, his eyes scanning every person he could see, yet you were nowhere to be seen in the sea of people.

On the other hand, you were waiting on the side of the ice cream stall, waiting for your matcha-flavoured sweets. It took you several minutes to realize that your boyfriend was not following behind you.

A little bit of panic surged through your body, but then the worker called for you, handing you the delicious-looking ice cream. And with that, the panic was completely drowned out.

Louis kept searching, frantically bumping into some people. That's when he saw you —peacefully eating ice cream at the corner.

He quickly ran to you, then abruptly stopped right in front of you.

The panic in his face was still visible, and his hands found their way up to each side of your jaw.

That was when he let out a relieved sigh.

"I thought I lost you."

He was tearing up as he said those words, and you felt super bad.

"I-I saw ice cream... so I–"

"It's okay, mon Cœur (my heart). I'm just glad you're okay." He said, engulfing you in a warm hug.

Louis knew very well that you can easily get distracted —that's the reason why he always tries to hold on to you in this kind of place.

Or that one time when you were making dinner.

"Whachu makin', Ma Sardine?" He placed both of his hands on top of your shoulder as he took a peek at the food you were making.

You turned around, confused and belittled. Did he just call you his sardine?

"Ma Sardine? What?" Your brows furrowed.

Louis looked at you cheekily, giggling at the pet name he just gave you. It might've been his favorite amongst all of the French pet names out there.

"What? It's cute." He shrugged.

"You just called me your sardine. That's not cute?" You made a stank face jokingly.

"Okay, what about Ma Crevette?" He chuckled as he rubbed his neck.

"What does it mean?" You asked, crossing your arms on your chest.

"My Shrimp." He mumbled.

His voice was small, but enough for you to hear. And once you heard it, a spatula flew towards him.

He has been calling you other names, such as Mon chat (my cat), Mon lapin (my rabbit), Mon trésor (my treasure), Mon ange (my angel), etc.

But only one wins your heart.

"You look so beautiful, Mon amour (my love)."

Louis was standing in front of you in a black suit, making him look more charming than ever. He eyed you up and down, examining your red silk dress that hugged every curve of your body, making you look ethereal under the fluorescent moonlight.

You two were attending the wedding of one of your friends. The ballroom got too crowded for you, so Louis took you to the deck.

"Thank you. Mon Beau (my handsome)," you complimented back.

He smiled at the nickname you just gave him. A warm and fuzzy feeling inside his heart made him step closer to you, inching his face closer before planting a soft kiss on your lips.

"Je t'aime pour toujours." He whispered.

That sentence will forever be engraved in your mind and heart. You won't need any translation for those words —you knew the meaning of it by heart.

I'll Love You forever.
