After seeing Maya's death scene again, something darned on me.

Ava the entire time barely listened to a word Maya said, and always did her thing and disobey Maya. She STOLE HER BOOK when they first ran into each other, and refusednto guard a library - something that means a lot to Maya because it's from her home planet - and I'm supposed to think Ava will just... change her selfish ways all because some adult took her in? I guess I'm supposed to assume that Ava is impulsive and selfish because she's been on her own the whole time. The story is too rushed for her to just suddenly care about Maya when she dies. Why would she suddenly care about Maya... right when she's dying??? You waited until she... DIES to feel bad about her death. That you caused. Yeah, okay.

Had Ava listen to Maya and kept her little ass on the ship, she wouldn't be so upset about Maya's death. (Though imo i think she has an ulterior motive for being with Maya but Ill get to that later.)

Not only does she cause Maya's death, but she... BLAMES Lilith for it... even though it wasn't Lilith's fault that she lost her powers. A death that AVA caused, and she blames Lilith because she's forced to stay on the side lines.

How are you going to convince me that Ava cares about Maya when she didn't listen to her? And why did she suddenly act like she cared when she mouthed off to Lilith? I dont care if shes a child, her character is an exaggeration: she is too selfish and too impulsive. And, in my eyes, she is manipulative.

Yeah this theory is a left field or something but this is how I see Ava: she's jealous of sirens. And if not sirens, then the freedom they have. Sirens have all the power to change and whatever they want. And maya said she took her in because she wanted to teach Ava how to SURVIVE. Meaning she couldn't survive before. out of jealousy, she stole Maya's book, disregarded her commands, and yelled at Lilith for something that wasn't her fault. "YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE THE FIREHAWK" my ass 🙄

And of all things, SHE is the one who inherits Maya's powers. I bet that's one of the reasons why she went with her but that's just me. She's too selfish for me to think otherwise. And how convenient it was... to have HER powers. How convenient. 🧐 Let's just disregard the fact that Ava has done absolutely nothing to earn her powers or earn siren powers at all. But hey, since the writers have an Ava fetish this plot has to move along fast somehow ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah i know the writing is extremely rushed so scenes looked awkward right when Maya dies, but I won't take any excuses. There's enough time to change a character's brattiness. They saw this script and said, "This is alright, this won't be cringey" and went with it.

Since this is where the writing is going, Im definitely not investing any of my time in the 4th game. Not even in the 3rd game, because i can't take it. 99% of my problems with this game lies with Ava, I cant STAND her! If you can, congratulations, but i don't give a shit. No one should have to keep their mouth shut about a critical opinion just because you like that game, anime, book, character, whatever.

Lilith: Can I ask you something?

Lyra: Sure.

Lilith: Why you didn't kill her when you could? You let go around messing up your life and you did nothing.

She was really pissed and she wanted her vengeance. Lyra paused for a moment and thought, that was a great question. Why didn’t she?

Lyra: She was… the sister I never had. Even now, even I had the power to kill her, I don’t know that I could. If you have a brother or sister, could you bring yourself to kill them? Despite whatever shit they did you hated and didn’t approve of?

Lyra fumbled a cigarette into her mouth.

Lyra: You want one?

Lilith stared at Lyra studying her, they were so similar and yet so different.

Lilith: I'm dead, I don't smoke. I know how you feel right now... you should keep that baby away from her before someone get hurt.

It was a sort of warning. Lyra was confused at her remark somewhat.

Lyra: Her baby is her problem. And who is likely to get hurt? What does that mean?

Lilith: She is her own problem but it doesn't matter, not anymore. I wish you luck human, the next time I'll see you around me... I'll kill you.

And with that she used her fast run to disappear into the night. Lyra took a drag on her cigarette and exhaled.

Lyra: There wasn’t much stopping you killing me now really…
