Lenore is fascinated by Merrill and her (seeming) ability to use blood magic without succumbing to demons.  This fascination turns into a bit of an obsession with Merrill where she thinks she's in love with the elf.  However, Merrill only has eyes for Carver.  He and Merrill have an awkward courtship where neither wants to admit their love for the other, but before leaving for the Deep Roads, they finally overcome their hesitations and get together. They both accompany Hawke to the mysterious Thaig.  Lenore really struggles with seeing Merrill and Carver together, but she tries to be happy for her little brother.  He is blissfully unaware that she had a thing for Merrill.  To try and cope with her unrequited love, Lenore tries to focus her attentions on Anders, who has been pining over her since day one.  When Carver is stricken with the taint, Merrill is devastated, but stays by his side constantly.  She is relieved when Carver goes off to be a Grey Warden, but they both agree that their relationship cannot continue.  Well, later down the road, Merrill is not over Carver, and Lenore sees this as her opportunity to finally be with her.  They have a bit of a fling together, but Merrill soon realizes that she is really only using Hawke as a substitute for Carver, so she ends it.  Lenore ends up falling into bed with Anders in her sorrow.

1. What is your favorite holiday? Do you / your family have any fun traditions for it?

I like Halloween a whole whole lot. My significant other and I spend the whole month of October watching scary movies and hoarding Halloween candy. We sit in front of our apartment and give candy to trick-or-treaters and we get A LOT of them. Also costume parties some years, that's fun.

2. Give me your favorite quote from your favorite song.

I don't have a one true favorite song but here's the first thing that came to mind, from insufferable hipster song my blog used to be named for, Dry the Rain

3. What’s the worst movie you’ve ever sat through in theaters, and why was it terrible?

What Women Want, this terrible Mel Gibson movie an old friend of mine wanted to see. It was incredibly misogynistic and I hated every moment of it and by the end I was complaining loudly and then I wasn't friends with that person anymore. Which makes me like that movie even less. 

4. What subject is / was your favorite to study in school?

Literature, probably. Also music, when possible.

5. What movie / game / book / other piece of media soon to come out are you the most excited for?

I would say Dragon Age Inquisition, but that's not "soon". Probably the new season of Game of Thrones.

6. Have you ever traveled abroad? If so, where to?

Not very much. I went to Costa Rica as a teenager, it was beautiful and I loved it. I've been to Mexico, and all over the United States, but that's it. I would very much love to do more, but I haven't had the opportunity.

7. What is a guilty pleasure of yours?

No guilt, only pleasures. 

8. Tell me a little about your best friend.

My best friend is my significant other. Sometime in January the odometer ticked over to 10 years together. There isn't a specific day because there was a several-week process of friends-becoming-lovers in there. When I leave for work in the morning he makes me coffee and kisses me goodbye at the door. Every morning. I am the luckiest.

9. What is your favorite drink, alcoholic or not?

I want to say coffee but me and coffee are on the outs for health reasons. Alcohol-wise, anything with Rum. 

10. What’s your favorite word?

elimenopee. the thing kids say when they're saying the alphabet.

j/k.  ridiculous is a great word I use way too much.

11. Have you ever licked a lamppost in winter?

I'm not a huge fan of the ending choices of ME3, and therefore I have headcanon around it. Suffice to say, the geth survive, the Reapers don't, and there's no gross meddling with bodily autonomy. 

I want this and also for HODA to actually work for me. *pouty face*
