Amelia, too, often gets short shrift. I treasure Sam’s courage in finding that relationship after s7 so, so much. A lot of the vitriol for her is tied up in Dean’s opinions/the structural choice of having Sam decide that she had never been a realistic option for him after all. And I deeply love that 15.20 vindicates her, and him.

  However i agree, i think it was to convenient for Geri to just happen along, and kill the only person who knew anything. I don’t entirely trust her. I am loving the layers of her friendship with Cordell, though Hoyt is not gonna like it. Don’t think it will be endgame. Just another thing for Cordell to feel guilty about. Bring it!

hahaha I was trying to think of the Latin or Greek words for ‘beard’ to support this. The Greek is ‘pogon’ (which is not a super sexy word but I knew it bc a fear of beards is called pognophobia) (idk what the word is for the fear that your brother’s incredibly attractive beard has rendered you, bare-chinned, invisible as a sexual being) (adelphopognoagamophobia) but Latin is ‘barba’ which has much more potential, my brain was suggesting ‘the Barbaras’ originally but of COURSE what they should be called is the ‘barbe-a-papas’. Barbe à papa is the French word for candyfloss but translates as ‘dad’s beard’ which is ummmm very suitable ahahahaha

I can understand why Mary and Jack developed a bond (“brothers in arms” often bond like family) they are stuck together in a dangerous and dying world, they are not native and nothing about the apocalypse worlds is familiar; her huband John is still dead and her sons were never born.  But if there isn’t a pay off for Sam (and Dean) by the finale, I’m going to be bitter.

tbh i love s5 but that’s because it gave us amazing moments like this one that the fandom then went and did gr8 things w. but yea canon standing alone and as a continuous plot is... sloppy work. (i think? i haven’t actually watched the show i’m a fan of in years lol.) but i will always be bitter about the imbalance of how much blame is put on sam and how much is put on dean like.......dean tortured souls in hell = sam drank demon blood. dean broke the 1st seal = sam the last. ‘TIS THE FUCKIN SAME.
