sorry. anyway. marsh breaks up with you because this is an objectively fucked-up thing to say. i know this game has been dark at times, and you're not playing as a human, but if you pause and think about that choice—it is messed up. here's a quadruple amputee who can't see, can't hear, who is in immense pain, both physical and mental, and who literally spends hours begging for death. and your decision? of ALL the options? keep them as a 'pet'

oh, marsh tried to kill mc? mc is an eldritch cognitohazard/conscious plague/thinking curse. if you, the player, were playing as marsh and not mc, marsh's decision would seem brave. and even then, marsh is contrite and miserable
