I really don’t understand the concept of fans hating on their favorite artists :( it happened with Melanie Martinez because she cancelled some shows for the EU tour (i’m not a fan but i’ve seen some mutuals talking about it on twitter) and she’s getting so much hate already.
It makes me so sad that as an artist, some members of your fandom can be so hateful (even in a funny way) and i think sometimes that’s just parasocial and weird. It was kinda the same vibe i got when Bad Omens released Specter and some people didn’t like it.
Some girls at the BO pop up even came to me and my friends saying « I hate them for doing merch drops while they’re not releasing anything, they just want our money. » ??? Bad Omens is a pretty independent band and when you see their shows you understand where the money goes. And why are you criticizing their merch in front of their pop up ?
Anyway, sorry for the yap, it just makes me so sad when people hate towards artists who didn’t do anything wrong in the first place, there is a lot of people who likes seeing celebrities getting hated on and that’s really twisted.
