Lignarius's 30 Day Anime Challenge -Day 20
Day 20
"The anime character that gets on my nerves is Shinji Ikari"
"Yeah, running late again, but there you go. When I was Shinji's age, I suffered from depression. I obviously didn't have to deal with all the shit he did, but the depression was there. That being said, all my reasons for this choice can be seen in DErdrick's Day 20 fill here. Those are literally all my reasons. There you go."
Lignarius's 30 Day Anime Challenge -Day 18 and 19
Day 18 and 19
"Yep, late again, but here it is. My favorite supporting female anime character is Hinata Hyūga from Naruto."
"Hinata starts out as the requisite "crusher". For a vaguely defined reason, she likes the main character, but can't bring herself to actually say it or do anything about it, aside from stalk him. Later on, we find out that she's from a horrifying family situation and we begin to see her determination and character growth. Over the course of the anime, mostly through filler because it's Naruto and she's a side character, we see her grow into a very interesting character. This comes to a head in one of my favorite epic scenes, where she steps out against a virtual deity, who has destroyed her entire village and taken on pretty much every person who could pose a threat (including an incredibly powered-up Naruto). She does it entirely for her own reasons, marking her character growth, and while I can't say that she holds her own, she does something no one else had, she actually makes him have to dodge her attacks. Hinata is an incredibly strong character who, like most side characters in Naruto, deserves so much more attention than she gets."

Day 17
"My favorite supporting male anime character is Zaraki Kenpachi from Bleach."
"He's not a complex character, really. He has two goals in life. The first is to stab all the people worth stabbing. The second is to get better at stabbing them. He's also a doting father, an impressive leader, and it's really just a joy to watch him work."

Lignarius's 30 Day Anime Challenge -Day 15
Day 15
"This is a day late, but here we go. My favorite animal sidekick may be cheating a little bit, but it's Momiji from Fruits Basket."
"Like all the primary Sohma family members in Fruits Basket, Momiji is a human who turns into an animal when hugged. Momiji just happens to turn into an adorable little bunny. So yeah, probably cheating, but he's so cute and he's actually a surprisingly strong character."
Lignarius's 30 Day Anime Challenge -Day 2
Day 2
"My favorite anime I've seen so far is Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood."
"This anime has interesting characters, a fantastic story-line, compelling fights, and thought-provoking themes. And more than anything, it remembered that brevity is the soul of wit. Whereas most of the more popular anime these days do not know when to quit (I'm looking at you Naruto!), FMA: Brotherhood has a complete story that keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole way through and can be completed in around a week. Overall, just a really fun anime that doesn't overstay its welcome... and has some really dark, horrifying, terrible moments."
