unprompted // always accepting
Sidurgu feels a touch of warmth at the core of his chest as his attention is drawn to the bag. Rielle getting the things she needs-- or even just things she would like-- is more than enough to do that, especially considering that Sidurgu leaving her side to gather those things himself is out of the question, for the time being. Abandoning her in this blighted city, even for a moment, is something the dark knight simply cannot bring himself to do.
Not after Fray.
Araya has been a great help in that regard, and Rielle would surely be happy to see her here at their table once again...whenever she decided to join them at their table, at least. Sidurgu gives a tired sigh, raising a gauntleted hand to rub at the scales that span the bridge of his nose, staving off the twinge of a headache in his temple.
“Currently, Rielle is...disinclined to speak to me.” He had learned much about the temperaments of children during his time watching over the young elezen, and each thing he learned was more frustrating and confusing than the last. One moment, they would simply be talking, and the next, Rielle would get upset and storm off to her room. Usually Sidurgu had at least an inkling as to what he had done wrong, but there are plenty of times where he hasn’t the faintest idea.
This is one of those times.
“I’m sure I’ve said something to deserve it, but for the life of me, I’ve no idea what,” Perhaps he was never meant to be a father, even if only a surrogate one. A poor replacement for what Rielle had truly deserved. “She’s in her room, and I’m certain she’ll be much happier to see you than me.”
