Happy One Year anniversary to the Lightning Fang School! 

Wyra’to stood with his arms folded and eyes keenly focused on the pair before him., scrutinising every step taken and every move made as though he knew what his students would do before they themselves had committed to it. A hyur and another Keeper circled one another, each taking pot shots whenever they could afford to do so without leaving their defences wide open. “Quicker! Y’look like yer tryna ballroom dance wid yer gran’mothers!” A clap of his hands soon followed the verbal jab, and the duo responded by pushing themselves further. When one stepped high, the other went low, the pair engaged in a battle as much of wit as it was of strength. Why here, though? Why these steps? It was simple. By forcing his students to fight on a quite literal uneven footing, he had hoped to bolster their awareness of their surroundings. To teach them that there would be times where a mistake in their footwork could mean the difference between life and death - or at least a painful tumble down a set of brick stairs. Still, the pair continued, neither giving ground in the face of the other’s assault. Probing strikes and sweeping kicks were met with swift turns which would redirect the force behind the attack. Elbows and knees were used as points of leverage as well as potential targets. Each motion was firm, bolstered by stable footing and impeccable balance. Good. Maybe the two had learned something from him after all.

The students of the Lightning Fang venture out into the Footfalls, with each of them being assigned a task to put their abilities to the test. (featuring @shoshohosa-shashahosa, Boteni Efriette, Ceredan Brooks and Anselm Vance.)

Another session with the Lighting Fang school, in which Wyra’to helped his students build upon the form of both the True Strike and Snap Punch techniques and the varying methods in which they could be applied both offensively and defensively.  (featuring Anselm Vance, Iona Falconsoul & Ceredan Brooks!)

On the final night, Wyra’to led Shoshohosa and Iona to Schism, allowing the rest of the students to rest. Their aim was the recovery of relics of great importance to not only Wyra’to, but the preservation of the shared art which they all practiced. It was during this encounter that Iona would come to terms with using her abilities to their fullest potential, and it was also here that Shoshohosa would unlock his second chakra. With the pair now having fully proven themselves in Wyra’to’s eyes after having dealt with a monstrous Shade, he would allow them to pray for the rest of the night before returning to the camp with the others.

Continuing their excursion, the students of the Lightning Fist engage in cross discipline training against a gathering of fighters under the auspicious eye of Master Tigre. A further session is given by Wyra’to in regards to the flow of aether in everything and a brief lecture on the importance of faith.

Another day, another class at the Lightning Fang.

The Lightning Fang engages in the first few days of their trip to Rhalgr’s Reach and the surrounding areas, engaging in training within the halls of Gyr Kehim as well as having the heritage of their artform explained in greater detail.
